Deadpool is trending hotter than ever after leading actor Ryan Reynolds posted the first official image of himself in full Deadpool costume — an homage to Burt Reynolds' Playgirl photo from 1972. Fox also revealed the new title card and icon logo for Deadpool, as well as its social media account on Twitter and Facebook.
Over on Fox's official movie website, they posted the first synopsis for Deadpool and, unless you're completely unfamiliar with the character's most basic comic book origin story, it's exactly what fans expect and want to hear from this film.
"Based upon Marvel Comics’ most unconventional anti-hero, DEADPOOL tells the origin story of former Special Forces operative turned mercenary Wade Wilson, who after being subjected to a rogue experiment that leaves him with accelerated healing powers, adopts the alter ego Deadpool. Armed with his new abilities and a dark, twisted sense of humor, Deadpool hunts down the man who nearly destroyed his life."
Deadpool releases in theaters on February 12, 2016.
