DEADPOOL Officially Begins Filming and Vancouver Photogs Can Stalk the Georgia Viaduct Location in April

It took years and years to finally happen but Deadpool has officially begun filming in Vancouver. Actors Ryan Reynolds and Morena Baccarin have posted photos of their on-set seats to their respective social media accounts to confirm production has started. And Baccarin's image did reveal she is playing a character named Vanessa.

Vanessa is widely believed to be the Marvel character known as Copycat. In the comics, Copycat is a shape-shifter similar to Mystique but with the added ability to replicate the powers of those she takes the form of through a sponge-like effect from being near a person.

Also, Vancouver news outlet TheGlobalandMail.com has revealed the movie production will shut down a section of highway for 13 days. From April 5-18, the Georgia Viaduct will be closed intermittently and here are the dates and times for the closure:

"Between April 6 and 16, the viaduct will be closed between 5 a.m. and 3 p.m. on weekdays, with access restricted to one lane running by a 100-metre screened area in the evening, the city says.
"On Sunday, April 5, filming will take place between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. On April 11, it will take place between 5 a.m. and 5 p.m. And the production has the option to use the viaduct on April 12, 17 and 18 for contingency purposes."

With a location that is public and out in the open such as a highway comes on location photographers. Any Vancouver photogs who have interest in promoting their branding/company with their on location Deadpool photos on The Daily SuperHero's website need to email me here.
