Marvel's AGENTS OF SHIELD Season 2 Officially Announces ABSORBING MAN as New Villain

Many fans and television viewers had mixed reviews of Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Season 1 (including this guy), but things are getting exciting for Season 2. Earlier this week, Marvel announced the addition of actor Adrianne Palicki as the super spy Mockingbird for the second season and now they've announced the addition of a popular villain.

Carl "Crusher" Creel, also known as Absorbing Man, is coming to TV this fall. Marvel just made this announcement and also confirmed actor Brian Patrick Wade has been cast in the role. Also, check out the first look at Absorbing Man in action in Marvel's first official photo reveal below.

If you're not familiar with Absorbing Man his power is to mimic any form of matter or energy simply by touching it. To read more about the villain head over to Marvel's character page by clicking here.

Agents of SHIELD Season 2 premieres on ABC at 9 p.m. Eastern on September 23.

And here's a look at Wade on the set of Agents of SHIELD getting some makeup prep to his arm. Obviously, he is using the 'absorbing' part of his Absorbing Man character for this particular scene.
