Actor Corey Stoll Confirms He's in ANT-MAN, Says Size Changing Effects Will be a "Kinetic Experience"

Never confirmed by Marvel Studios, actor Corey Stoll (House of Cards) was reportedly cast in a role for Ant-Man several months back. Now this is confirmed, although his role is still unknown.

While it's not confirmed by Marvel, Stoll himself confirmed he was cast by former director Edgar Wright, in a short interview with Collider.com. The actor then spoke about the differences in Wright's Ant-Man script and the new script currently being finalized by director Peyton Reed.

"Reading the script – and the script that Edgar wrote, and the script that there is now – it’s insane that this movie hasn’t been made before."

Stoll then touched on how Ant-Man will be a different visual experience than anything seen in previous super hero movies.

"Obviously, you need the technology because it needs to look great. But the whole idea of the changing of scale and the experiential effect of size changing is just so cool. You read these scenes on the page, and I just got giddy. I think it’s gonna be so much fun.
"This is a completely different kinetic experience in the theater. Shrinking and growing back, there’s just so much material there to root it in."

Ant-Man is set to begin filming in Atlanta in mid-August and has a release date set for July 17, 2015.
