Not to be outdone by Sony's reveal of the first trailer for The Amazing Spider-Man 2, 20th Century Fox and director Bryan Singer are once again cutting into the hype surrounding a Marvel film that is not their own. This has happened when they suddenly announced the addition of Quicksilver to X-Men Days of Future Past several months ago and right after it was reported that Quicksilver might appear in Avengers: Age of Ultron.

But it doesn't stop there. Singer and Fox also jumped onto the hype bandwagon on the day Marvel Studios released the first trailer for next spring's Captain America: The Winter Soldier and both announced when the first trailer for X-Men Days of Future Past would release and posted a trailer teaser for it too.

Now, after the release of the trailer for The Amazing Spider-Man 2, Singer and Fox have done it again! Singer took to his Twitter account and posted a tease that only said "#Xmen #Apocalypse 2016!"

The website has also posted a release date of May 27, 2016 for the next X-Men ensemble film!
