Arguably one of Marvel's best villains was the one who disappeared via the Tesseract in Captain America: The First Avenger. Since his disappearance, Marvel Studios has been quiet about the possibility of bring back Hydra's leader, the Red Skull.

According to one of The Daily SuperHero's insiders, Marvel Studios is currently figuring out a way to incorporate the Red Skull into Captain America: The Winter Soldier. No further details were provided and the email we received was as vague as the information itself.

Maybe Marvel is considering having the Red Skull work on behalf of Thanos since it appeared the Red Skull was sucked into a "spacey realm" kind of resembling where Loki was scene talking with Thanos' sidekick, The Other, in Marvel's The Avengers movie. Or maybe they'll take a cue from their cartoon Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes and have the Red Skull behind the creation of the Winter Solider, who is formerly known as Cap's best friend Bucky Barnes.

Whichever way Marvel is thinking of using the Red Skull in the Cap sequel, the fact it seems they are still thinking about the character is promising and it could lead to his appearance in either Marvel's Phase 2 slate of movies or perhaps in Phase 3. Stay tuned regardless.
