The excitement level for Thanos is at an all-time high since Marvel Studios revealed him in the mid-credits scene of The Avengers movie last May. And the hype has not let up since everyone has their best guess, or speculation, of how Thanos will be incorporated into Marvel's cinematic universe.

Thanos creator, Jim Starlin, has recently confirmed the Mad Titan's involvement in both Guardians of the Galaxy and The Avengers 2.

Guardians of the Galaxy has been known as the "set-up" movie that will be released in August 2014 and is the last movie in Phase Two before the big battle, when The Avengers sequel comes out in May 2015. Thanos will obviously be doing bad guy-like things in Guardians which will require The Avengers to assemble once again.

The question still remains on whether Phase Two mastermind, Joss Whedon, will bring The Infinity Gauntlet story to the big screen or if a whole new Thanos story will be created using basic concepts from The Infinity Gauntlet and perhaps even The Thanos Imperative story arcs.
