Doctor Strange or Adam Warlock, Which Character Would Fit Marvel's Rumored Interest in Casting Viggo Mortensen?

Marvel.com
The rumor mill is heating with Marvel Studios information in recent days, especially surrounding the rumor that Marvel is targeting actor Viggo Mortensen as for role in one of their upcoming Phase Two movies.

But which role could the lead from the Lord of the Rings trilogy play?

We here at The Daily SuperHero speculated he could be Doctor Strange in a recent post of ours (see link below) but what if he was to play another character?

The Sorcerer Supreme makes sense and Moretensen almost looks like the Dr. Stephen Strange when you go to Google Images and run a search on the actor. But he almost looks like (if he dyed his hair blonde) another powerful cosmic character from the Marvel comic book universe in some of Mortensen's other photos.

Any takers on Mortensen being Adam Warlock instead of Doctor Strange?

Of course this is only our opinion, but Mortensen could be playing Warlock, who has been a part of many comic book story arcs with none other than Thanos. Including the Infinity Gauntlet.

Warlock, originally introduced only as "Him," is very powerful and can manipulate energy along with having superhuman strength, agility, endurance and stamina. He has association with the Guardians of the Galaxy in the comic universe too. Hmm. And don't forget Warlock is the one who leads Earth's superheroes against Thanos when he possess the power of the Infinity Gauntlet. Hmm again.

As much as fans (including us) want to see Doctor Strange hit the big screen, having Mortensen as Warlock almost seems like a better fit when you consider the connection between Warlock and Thanos in the comics.
