Justice League Movie: What Has Ben Affleck Directed to Garner Any Consideration? Nothing

On Wednesday, rumors hit the Internet saying Warner Bros. and DC were considering Ben Affleck to direct their big screen ensemble movie, Justice League. Thankfully, a report came out just a few hours later stating Affleck's camp said there is no interest to direct this movie.

Thank goodness but what the heck are Warner and DC thinking?

Yes Affleck is an Oscar winning writer for Good Will Hunting but he has only directed five movies and none of them really made big waves in mainstream Hollywood.

Is this a sign that Warner and DC are desperately seeking anyone who can direct their big movie and they are left with those names who are on Page 5 of their long list of desired directors?

The Daily SuperHero is not trying to talk bad about Affleck and his past work (we love him in all of Kevin Smith's films) but we are simply thinking logically about this information and it all leads to the assumption that the pickings to find a director who can and will want to helm this project must be minimal. Or the executives have no clue what they are doing in trying to build themselves a cinematic universe just like what Marvel Studios has already done.

Also, with minimal work with green screen, Affleck would be at a disadvantage as a director of this size and scale of a film since there would be a lot of green screen work and having a director who has used this is in the past is really the way to go.

No Affleck? Thank you again and hopefully there is no second thought by him because if there is, a Justice League movie will be starting off of what could be said is the "wrong foot."
