As Thor: The Dark World continues to shoot over in London right now, some interesting casting information was released that could give a strong clue as to who some of or the antagonists could be in the sequel.

A Marvel Studios casting call has been sent out for "...male Fire dancers, fire eaters, etc. for extras...for Thor 2." (Per Frozen Wasteland via Comic Book Movie.)

And more specifically, the following was written about this casting call.
"'Men of Fire

For the a new Marvel Super Hero feature film we are looking for men who are skilled in playing with fire to pretend to be warriors.

The Requirements:
You must be highly skilled with playing with fire example skills include - Spinning, Fire Sticks, Fire Breathing, Fire eating etc.'"

Right off the bat one has to assume this means there could be fire demons in the next movie. Surtur is the main fire demon enemy of Thor in the comic books and he comes from one of the nine realms called Muspelheim. The realm of fire, and fire demons.

Looking at the title of the new film, it doesn't seem to be a fit because fire is not ... well ... dark. But it might be implied that Muspelheim could be a 'dark world' since it is kind of a representation of Hell. And that place is considered to be very dark, generally speaking.

Also, interesting is that Surtur has aligned himself with the leader of the Dark Elves, Malekith the Accursed, in comics and there has been a recent buzz saying the Dark Elves could be in the next Thor movie too.

News, updates, information and rumors have been far and few between about Thor: The Dark World so keep it tuned here as we learn more about this flick.
