SUPERMAN continues its No. 1 streak at the domestic box office as the film starting the new DCU took in $57.2 million. This brings its domestic total to $235 million.
Adding its overseas box office ticket sales and SUPERMAN has amassed a total of $406.8 million.
The drop off for its second weekend was way less than expected with a 54-percent drop. This is better than the second week drops for recent superhero releases CAPTAIN AMERICA: BRAVE NEW WORLD (-68%) and THUNDERBOLTS* (-56%), per Deadline.
Next up, SUPERMAN faces off against Marvel Studios' FANTASTIC FOUR: FIRST STEPS this upcoming weekend.
