First Unit Production Halted on SHANG-CHI as Director Self Isolates; FALCON AND THE WINTER SOLDIER Stops Filming in Prague

The Coronavirus (COVID-19) has shut down production for two Marvel Studios productions.

FALCON AND THE WINTER SOLDIER have stopped production for the studios' first Disney+ streaming series in Prague. Shooting can commence in Atlanta, where most of it has been filmed so far, however productions in the U.S. have been shutting down left and right this week as the virus continues to spread across the country.

Over in Australia, SHANG-CHI AND THE LEGEND OF THE TEN RINGS just began filming but has ceased first unit production as director Destin Daniel Cretton has been instructed to self isolate as he has shown symptoms of the virus. The Hollywood Reporter adds:

"Shang-Chi is not shutting down, insiders insist, and second unit and other production aspects will continue to move ahead."

SHANG-CHI is scheduled to release on February 12, 2021.
