Marvel Studios is Ready to Start Developing Stories With the X-MEN, FANTASTIC FOUR and More in 2019

Disney's acquisition of Fox's assets are still not finalized, although they are reportedly in the final stages of completion as 2018 comes to a close. As most Marvel fans know, included in this deal are all the rights to all-things mutant and the X-Men, Deadpool, Fantastic Four, Dr. Doom, Silver Surfer, Galactus, and too many other characters to name coming home to Disney's Marvel Studios.

Until the deal is done, Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige is idle in officially moving forward in creating new ideas and stories for all these previously unavailable characters. Yet, do not doubt the fact that he has many ideas for all these characters swimming through his mind right now.

The wait will soon end for Feige and his team of creatives as he spoke with Variety and teased how it he will be legally allowed to start working on stories for these characters in 2019.

“We’ve been told it’s looking very, very good and could happen in the first six months of next year. The notion of the characters coming back is great. It’s nice when a company that created all these characters can have access to all those characters. It’s unusual not to. But in terms of actually thinking about it and actually planning things, we haven’t started that yet.”
Marvel fans have been hoping to see all these characters to make their way to the Marvel Cinematic Universe for a very long time, and it sounds like that wait will soon be over.
