AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR - So That's Why Tony Stark Has an Arc Reactor Back in His Chest

***This post contains SPOILERS for AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR.***

You've been warned...

Entertainment Weekly has begun to unleash brand new tidbits of information about AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR as their latest double-issue features the highly anticipated ensemble film.

After seeing the trailer for the film, many fans wondered why Tony Stark has his arc reactor back in his chest area — it has not been disclosed that is is actually back inside of his chest or just resting against his chest — after getting the shrapnel removed at the end of IRON MAN 3. He discarded his need for the chest piece at the end of the movie, too.

Well, EW has the scoop and it is because of his latest Iron Man suit of armor, the Mark 50. It is officially called the 'Bleeding Edge' suit and it is being brought from the comic book pages onto the big screen. This new suit resides inside of Stark's chest piece, similar to how T'Challa's Black Panther suit resides within his necklace, and the suit comes out of it to cover his body. So no more need for a Gantry to assemble the suit onto him, as in IRON MAN, nor is the any need to have random pieces of his suit flying out of nowhere and onto his body, as seen in IRON MAN 3.

Stark's Mark 50 'Bleeding Edge' suit of armor also has rocket thrusters that comes out its back now allowing Iron Man to go into deep space.

Stark is a tinkerer and it's always about the upgrades and the Mark 50 is his most advanced Iron Man suit yet.

AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR releases worldwide on April 27.
