After spending several years in movie development purgatory, it appears 20th Century Fox is finally moving forward with their X-Men spin-off, GAMBIT.
According to Deadline, Fox is eyeing the original PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN franchise director Gore Verbinski to helm the X-Men solo movie. Actor Channing Tatum is still attached to star in the title role as the card throwing mutant Lemy LeBeau. A new script has been written by Josh Zetumer and recent plot rumors state how this movie will pull influence from heist films.
No release date is set for GAMBIT at the time this article was published.
