A potential plot rumor has emerged from the website MCU Exchange with claims they know how ANT-MAN AND THE WASP begins.
In a nutshell, the movie will pick up shortly after the events of CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR when we last saw Paul Rudd's Scott Lang locked up in the high security prison, The Raft. This lines up with the movie's synopsis (below). We do know that Steve Rogers appeared at the end of Civil War with the logical thought that he would be breaking out "Team Cap" from prison. However, at the start of ANT-MAN AND THE WASP, Lang is said to be out of captivity, but he is on house arrest where he has pretty much left his alter-ego behind him and is enjoying more time with his daughter.
Meanwhile, Hank Pym and Hope Van Dyne are not happy that Lang left their quest to try and save Janet Van Dyne from the Quantum Realm to, instead, go and fight the other Avengers in Germany. Hank and Hope are still working on figuring a way to rescue Janet in their lab, which has been shrunk and is super tiny. This is how they are able to continue working without being caught, but the details of this "tiny lab" are still unknown, as is the whereabouts of it, although it is also rumored to be a mobile lab.

In the aftermath of 'Captain America: Civil War,' Scott Lang (Rudd) grapples with the consequences of his choices as both a Super Hero and a father. As he struggles to rebalance his home life with his responsibilities as Ant-Man, he’s confronted by Hope van Dyne (Lilly) and Dr. Hank Pym (Douglas) with an urgent new mission. Scott must once again put on the suit and learn to fight alongside The Wasp as the team works together to uncover secrets from their past.
