WONDER WOMAN Posts Second Highest Third Weekend Totals For Warner Bros. Only Behind THE DARK KNIGHT

WONDER WOMAN may not have won this weekend's domestic box office battle, CARS 3 did, but she another amazing thing in bringing in the second highest third weekend gross of any Warner Bros. movie only behind Christopher Nolan's THE DARK KNIGHT.

Here in the states, WONDER WOMAN took in an estimated $40 million to bring her domestic total to $274 million.

Overseas, Diana of Themyscira brought in an estimated $39 million to bring her worldwide total to $571 million.

Getting back to her third weekend performance, it was the second biggest for any Warner Bros. movie right behind the $42 million THE DARK KNIGHT made in its third weekend of release. WONDER WOMAN only dropped 30-percent from her second weekend tally; which itself was also a historically low drop for any superhero genre movie. This is a tremendous sign of continued positive word-of-mouth and another sure sign WONDER WOMAN 2 will be green lit sooner than later since this film is the first DC Extended Universe film to not have record breaking drop-off weekends after its initial release.

And check out the only guy who can truly wear this shirt since he is Gal Gadot's husband. (You sir are one lucky man.)
