Drax Will Continue to Deal With Lots of Metaphors in GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL. 2

"Finger to the throat means death. Metaphor."

Some of the best lines in GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY involved Drax trying to understand metaphors since he takes everything literally. According to actor Dave Bautista, speaking with IGN at San Diego Comic-Con, Drax will continued to be confused as he tries to learn what is and isn't a metaphor in the sequel.

“You know it’s weird, because Drax, I like to say he’s confused. He’s developed strong relationships with these people, they are now his friends and his family, but he’s still the same guy. He still takes everything very literally, but now he’s surrounded by people who use metaphors constantly. So he either doesn’t know what they’re talking about, or he’s pretending to know what they’re talking about, but he really doesn’t. So he’s just confused.”

GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL. 2 releases on May 5, 2017.
