In 2013 There Was a DEADPOOL Movie Pitch by Jeff Wadlow and Concept Art by Kelton Cram

Well this is certainly an interesting reveal... over on ComicBook they've revealed that in 2013 there was a DEADPOOL movie pitch by writer/director Jeff Wadlow along with concept art for the pitch by Kelton Cram.

According to this report, while Fox was still on the fence about moving forward with director Tim Miller's R-rated DEADPOOL movie they enlisted X-FORCE movie writer (which was still in development at that time) to come up with an alternative pitch for the Merc With a Mouth's movie. Wadlow's pitch had Deadpool going up against Mister Sinister's team of villains, The Marauders, although it was not revealed if Mister Sinister would appear in this version of the film.

This version of Deadpool was to be more realistic and this was shown in the two pieces of concept art of Deadpool, by Cram, which can bee seen below along with concept art of how The Marauders' character Random would look. (And he looks like 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin because that was just a basis used for the character design.)

This alternate DEADPOOL pitch happened in the final months of 2013 before the DEADPOOL test footage leaked in summer 2014 right after San Diego Comic-Con. After pulling in over $781 million worldwide, it's safe to say Fox made the right choice with the DEADPOOL movie.

DEADPOOL 2 is currently in development with its entire creative team back for a second round of insane fun.
