Jeff Goldblum Talks About Becoming The Grandmaster in THOR: RAGNAROK

Since Marvel Studios officially confirmed the main cast in THOR: RAGNAROK, we have heard teases about the movie from Chris Hemsworth, Tom Hiddleston, Mark Ruffalo and Marvel Cinematic Universe newcomer Karl Urban, who is Skurge the Executioner.

Next up is Jeff Goldblum teasing his new role as The Grandmaster. In the comics, The Grandmaster is an Elder of the Universe just like The Collector. While The Collector's hobby is right there in his name, The Grandmaster enjoys and is a master of games. Here's what Goldblum has to say to Empire about his new role.

“He’s a hedonist, a pleasure-seeker, an enjoyer of life and tastes and smells. I thought, ‘I can do that, I’ll bet!’ I’m working on my part every day. I’m a sponge, researching. [Taika Waititi] is encouraging me to improvise and make it my own, and that’s what I’m trying to do. I hope he doesn’t throw me out on the first day!”

Another report from the Australian news site The Advertiser has also revealed THOR: RAGNAROK will begin filming on July 4 and principle photography will last until late October.

THOR: RAGNAROK releases on November 3, 2017.
