SUICIDE SQUAD: Margot Robbie Says Harley Quinn Has an Addictive Personality

Sorry Will Smith you're being overshadowed in this summer's SUICIDE SQUAD since everyone is interested in talking about, and seeing, both the Joker and Harley Quinn. This will be the first time both will be together on the big screen. Actor Jared Leto is the next in line to portray the Clown Prince, while Margot Robbie is the first to play a live action Harley Quinn.

Speaking with SuperHeroHype, Robbie spoke about how Harley has additions and infatuations.

“I did a lot of research on mental illness and codependency. I was trying to access a way in to understanding why she’s so in love with the Joker. I kind of decided that she’s codependent on him. Now that I’ve done the research, I realize that that’s more of an addiction than an illness… You see many sides of her. Sometimes she’s really funny. Sometimes she’s really mean. She just enjoys everything she does. Whether she’s doing something good or bad, she’ll have an equal amount of enjoyment out of it. She’s not always the most likable character.”

She may not be the most likable character in the DC Extended Universe, but she's definitely the most popular character to talk about (and look at) in SUICIDE SQUAD.

SUICIDE SQUAD releases on August 5.

You're welcome.
