It should be well-known by now that actor Jared Leto is a method actor. This means he is in-character throughout the entire length of a film's production shoot. As the Joker in SUICIDE SQUAD, Leto definitely maintained his Joker persona throughout as it's been reported he sent crazy and weird gifts to fellow cast members.
Leto has sent the following while in-character as the Joker: a dead pig to the whole cast, a live rat to Margot Robbie (Harley Quinn), bullets to Will Smith (Deadshot) and a set of sticky Playboy magazines to Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje (Killer Croc).
But now, it seems like his gifts were even more disgusting than perviously revealed as E! Online is reporting Leto sent used condoms and anal beads, too.
"I did a lot of things to create a dynamic to create an element of surprise, a spontaneity and to really break down any kind of walls that may be there. The Joker is somebody who doesn't really respect things like personal space or boundaries."
For some people, this could be seen as crossing the line of being full method acting for a role and into the realm of it just being straight up disgusting. But this is for each person to determine for themselves.
