Over the past few years there's been a lot reported on an alleged rift between Marvel and 20th Century Fox. So much so that it's not worth bringing up in this post because it's been covered on The Daily SuperHero more times than can be remembered right now. (Google it.)
However, there's a new development in the worlds of Marvel and Fox as one of The Daily SuperHero's inside sources at Fox has gone off-the-record to anonymously tell us there are secretive talks between the two studios.
Word is Fox saw the amazing reaction to Marvel Studios' Spider-Man reveal at the end of the CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR trailer and wants to test those same studio partnership waters Sony Pictures is in with Marvel. Fox is so interested that they are even using Dr. Doom as part of a test sample to see if they can work with Marvel Studios.
Marvel, we are told, is thrilled about these talks because they really want Dr. Doom in their Marvel Cinematic Universe after Thanos does battle with Earth's mightiest heroes in the AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR films. In fact, the source provided an image of what appears to be possible concept art for how Dr. Doom could look if this deal goes through.
