#SadAffleck No More: BATMAN V. SUPERMAN is Critic Proof to the Tune of an $82 Million Domestic Friday

BATMAN V. SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE is in fact critic proof. Fans have decided against all the negative reviews and critical blasting of the super-powered film starring Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman on the big screen for the first time. It has pulled in an estimated $82 million during its Friday box office tally, domestically.

According to BoxOfficeMojo, this is just above the previous overall domestic opening weekend record holder's Friday performance for Jurassic World, which took in $81M on its opening Friday.

While Jurassic World beat THE AVENGERS' domestic opening weekend record, which was in-turn destroyed by STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS, this is an amazing sign for a movie that has been critically panned.

As of Friday's estimates, BATMAN V. SUPERMAN is looking at an impressive $170 million range domestic opening. This would place it right in the middle of the Top 10 for biggest domestic opening weekend of all-time.

While BATMAN V. SUPERMAN may have some story and pacing issues, DC Comics' Trinity (Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman) are more powerful than ever before.
