Olivia Munn Was Happy to do Psylocke Stunt Work in X-MEN: APOCALYPSE

The majority of the time when an actor can perform most of their stunts, they do. However, some stunts are a little more dangerous for an actor to partake in and a stunt double is brought in.

This was not the case for X-MEN: APOCALYPSE actor Olivia Munn, who was seen as Psylocke flipping through the air slicing a car into two pieces during the Super Bowl 50 teaser spot.

"That was me from the beginning to the end," Munn told Entertainment Tonight via 9NEWS. "That was a really cool thing to feel like when I showed up on set I was like, 'Oh wait, I can do this! Throw me onto a wire, give me a sword — I'm good!'
"Psylocke is such a powerful, lethal character... It was important to me that I was able to do all of the stunts because the more believable it is, the better it is for the audience — and the only way to make it believable is for me to actually do it."

Munn has shared many videos of her training for her turn as the mutant on her social media accounts. She also told ET she trained 6–7 hours a day to prepare for this role which included Tae Kwon Do, sword fighting and wirework training.

X-MEN: APOCALYPSE releases on May 27.
