BATMAN V. SUPERMAN: Chris Hardwick Laughs at Sites Who Took General Zod "Flipper Hands" Comment Too Seriously

[This is not news. This is just for fun!]

Chris Hardwick is was best known as the Nerdist on social media before he built an online news entertainment empire of the same same. Recently, Hardwick gave up his Nerdist Twitter handle to his own company due to how large the company and its branding has grown in recent years.

He also hosts the show '@Midnight' on Comedy Central and this week Hardwick laughed at the website Vulture, who took actor Michael Shannon's "flipper hands" comment about General Zod in BATMAN V. SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE way too seriously. This led nearly every website to aggregate this absolutely ridiculous story (please note The Daily SuperHero definitely did not run this story). Shannon, then, confirmed to the website TheDailyBeast that he was joking and the reporter took it too seriously.

Anyway, the point of all of this is that Hardwick had Shannon on an episode of '@Midnight' this past week and pretty much trashed every website who ran that story. Which is kind of funny because Nerdist ran the headline, too. Yay for irony! Although it needs to be stated Hardwick does not oversee editorial for Nerdist.

But the fact of the matter is that Shannon was joking and both he and Hardwick briefly spoke and laughed about it on Hardwick's show, which you can watch that clip from the episode below.
