Actor Ben Affleck's shooting schedule is about to get real busy if this rumor is true. According to DenOfGeek, who cites an anonymous source giving them information after a recent BATMAN V. SUPERMAN internal screening at Warner Bros., Affleck will reportedly star in three solo BATMAN movies.
"Warner is said to be so impressed with Affleck's performance as Batman [in BATMAN V. SUPERMAN] that it's apparently in the process of making an extended, 'Golden deal,' which could see the actor play the Caped Crusader in a trilogy of stand-alone movies, not the single outing... 'Basically, Warners are now working their movie universe around Ben's Batman,' our source says."
If this is true then Affleck will join the ranks of super hero actors Robert Downey Jr. and Hugh Jackman as the main box office draw for their respective studios and super hero movie universes. BATMAN V. SUPERMAN, three solo BATMAN movies and two JUSTICE LEAGUE films means Affleck as Batman in a total of six films. Plus any additional cameo appearances in other DC Extended Universe films.
But what about more Henry Cavill in a MAN OF STEEL sequel(s)? No word from Warner Bros. as of the publishing of this post.
