Benedict Cumberbatch Vaguely Talks About DOCTOR STRANGE

Actor Benedict Cumberbatch has been very quiet when it comes to talking about DOCTOR STRANGE. He hasn't said a thing since he was officially announced in the title role approximately eight months ago. It's being reported by TheDailyMail that Cumberbatch is bulking up and adding some muscle mass to his normally lean physique to play the Master of the Mystic Arts this fall.

The actor has actually spoke about his turn in the Marvel Cinematic Universe to The Wall Street Journal's Speakeasy.

"Marvel is a stable of bringing out ordinary comic characters and turning them into screen-like gods. It’s very different, it’s an Astral Plane. There’s a huge new element to this Marvel universe that’s going to be employed in building this story and this character. But you know, I’m really excited about it, about working with Scott [Derrickson] whose imagination is endless, and all the boys and girls at Marvel who know what they’re doing."

A big fan of meditation himself, Cumberbatch is very intrigued by the spirituality of DOCTOR STRANGE.

"I’m not going to be eked out on any spoilers or reveals now. It’s quite a way off but I’m very excited about that spiritual dimension, obviously. It’s something that’s been a huge part of my life."

DOCTOR STRANGE begins filming in November in the U.K. and releases in theaters on November 4, 2016.
