Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige Confirms WASP is in ANT-MAN

It's been one of the hottest topics surrounding ANT-MAN since actor Evangeline Lilly was cast in the role of Hope van Dyne. Will Hope become the Wasp in ANT-MAN?

Well now Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige has confirmed to SlashFilm, during their October 2014 set visit, Wasp is indeed in the movie.

"Everyone on set was vague about it but Feige confirmed Wasp is in the movie in some form and we might even see her in a suit. We don’t know if it’s the original comics version, Janet van Dyne, or Hope van Dyne, played in the film by Evangeline Lilly."

It was also confirmed Lilly has signed a multi-picture deal with Marvel Studios which could mean Wasp is coming to future Marvel Cinematic Universe films. Of course, this is if Lilly is actually playing an adapted version of the Wasp. (It was never actually confirmed in the set visit report that Lilly will become Wasp.)

"Lilly wouldn’t say if Hope becomes the Wasp by the end of the film, but she said that 'Marvel made her physically capable' and that 'almost' all of her action was reality based, not green screen. She didn’t say 'all' of it. But she did say she signed a multi-picture deal."

Although, Hope is not happy that her father, Hank Pym, chose Scott Lang to wear the Ant-Man suit over her.

"Hope is not happy Hank chose Scott instead of her to be the new Ant-Man and it creates a ton of animosity. She said there really isn’t a lot of romance in the film, but hinted there was at least a little. Which is odd considering she described her character as 'dour and horrible.'"

This implies Hope will get her own suit at the end of the movie perhaps due to her dad feeling bad he didn't pick her as Ant-Man and Pym makes her a hero suit of her own.

ANT-MAN releases on July 17, 2015.
