Maybe you noticed this or maybe you didn't but in this scene of the latest Avengers: Age of Ultron trailer it appears the team is defending an object from Ultron's army. If you missed it, check out the animated GIF below.
If you right-click on this GIF to open it in a new window to enlarge it, you will notice that the object in the middle has rotating movement and the stance the Avengers have around it is one of defense against all the Ultron drones.
So what could it be? It doesn't register in my past Marvel comic book readings and I've reaching out to several Marvel "gurus" whom I know and no one has a good guess of what it may be.
Could it be something related to Vibranium? Or maybe this has something to do with another underground temple, as seen in recent episodes of Agents of SHIELD, which may be foreshadowing for the Inhumans? Or is it something else not seen in comic book canon?
