GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY 2: No CAPTAIN MARVEL, No VENOM Symbiote



Shortly after Guardians of the Galaxy became a critical and box office smash rumors and speculation began hitting the web about its sequel. Some have been quite outlandish while others could be plausible. So writer and director James Gunn held a Q&A with fans on his Twitter account and Facebook page to clear some things up.

On Facebook, Gunn put the kibosh on rumors claiming Captain Marvel could appear in the sequel and that a Venom symbiote(s) could appear — since Marvel Studios and Sony struck a new deal to bring Spider-Man in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.






So there you go straight from the mouth of the man who is currently developing and writing the sequel. Guardians of the Galaxy 2 releases in theaters on May 5, 2017.
