TNT Looking to Order Pilot Episode for DC's TITANS Television Series Starring NIGHTWING

Warner Bros. and DC have been busy when it comes to growing their super hero television resume. Currently they have Arrow, The Flash, Gotham, Constantine and a recently revealed Supergirl series all either airing, in production or in development. Time to add another one to this list.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, WB and DC are nearing a deal with TNT to start production on a pilot episode for Titans. This potential series deal with the Turner-owned network is for an older, adapted version of the Teen Titans. The series reportedly will follow Dick Grayson as his leaves the side of Batman, ditches his Robin mantle and becomes Nightwing.

THR also reports:

"From Warner Horizon Television and DC Comics, the drama hails from writers Akiva Goldsman (A Beautiful Mind, I Am Legend, Lobo) and Marc Haimes. Goldsman will exec produce, while Haimes will serve as a co-EP.
"Based on characters from DC Comics, Titans revolves around a group of young superheroes-to-be who are recruited from every corner of the DC universe. The action-themed drama centers on Dick Grayson, who emerges from the shadow of Batman to become Nightwing, the leader of a fearless band of new superheroes including Starfire, Raven and more. The show is described as a dramatic adventure series that will explore and celebrate one of the most popular comic book titles ever."

This all sounds like a more mature version of Teen Titans. To read the full report on THR about the new Titans series, click right here.
