AGENTS OF SHIELD First Look at Adrianne Palicki Pre- MOCKINGBIRD and She Confirms Multiple Appearances



Back in August, Marvel officially announced actor Adrianne Palicki (Lady Jaye in G.I. Joe: Retaliation) was cast in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. as Bobbi Morse, also known in the comic book universe as the super spy Mockingbird. Since the announcement there have been a few teases about the character.

Now, Palicki's has broke her silence about her new role in Agents of SHIELD and the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). She not only confirmed multiple appearances as Morse/Mockingbird but she also spoke about how it was a hard to accept the role because this would be her only role in the ever-expanding MCU.

"I can’t really divulge too much information but it’s definitely more than one [appearance]," Palicki said to Crave Online. 
"There’s fear in it too. I know if I play this character, I probably would never play another Marvel character. There’s different questions you have to ask, and you ask about that too. Where is this character going? All those silly fears that you get being locked into something, but I have to say working with this group of people has been amazing. These producers and show runners are fantastic and I trust them implicitly. Marvel’s been really fun to work with as well, so I’m looking forward to it and I hope it’s a long run for us."

This part of the post requires somewhat of SPOILER ALERT for those fans who don't want to know too much in advance about Marvel's Agents of SHIELD Season 2. For those who don't care, read on.

In a new report by Entertainment Weekly, it's been revealed that Palicki's role of Morse/Mockingbird will have a lot more depth and development to it than fans of the comic book universe version of the character are familiar with. She's actually introduced as an agent of Hydra.

EW reports:

"Mockingbird isn’t so much a superpowered demigod as she is a highly trained S.H.I.E.L.D. operative. But before Palicki can become Mockingbird, she’ll first have to appear as Bobbi Morse.
"[H]ere’s your first look at Palicki as Bobbi Morse, the head of Hydra Security and the future Mockingbird. But will she be friend or foe to Coulson and S.H.I.E.L.D.? The Mockingbird part suggests friend, but the Hydra part…things might get complicated."

Very intriguing twist, for sure. And here's the first look of Palicki as Morse, head of Hydra security.
