Is the First Footage For AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON Ready for Marvel's Panel at Comic-Con?

Preview Night for the 2014 San Diego Comic-Con International is eight days away! This means the rumor mill will shut down for about a week and be replaced with official announcements and confirmations by studios during their respective panels.

One of the things expected to happen at Comic-Con is the first footage for next summer's Avengers: Age of Ultron might be shown to the fans who are lucky enough to get into Hall H[ydra] of Marvel Studios panel. This expectation seem like it may come true as it has been reported that Age of Ultron footage has already been shown to a few member of the U.K. media.

The U.K. websites Film 3 Sixty and Geek Syndicate (via ComicBook.com) were two of the outlets shown the first footage for the Avengers sequel.

Film 3 Sixty wrote:

"[W]e were also given a brief glimpse of Avengers: Age Of Ultron, set for release in UK cinemas next year. The footage showed a foretaste of the action-packed sequel, include a sneak-peak at Iron Man’s Hulkbuster battling The Hulk, and our first look at Avengers Tower, which houses the heroes, including labs for Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) and Dr. Banner (Mark Ruffalo). Director Joss Whedon described Avengers Tower as his – and the cast’s – favourite set yet. The short clip also showed off the globetrotting locations being used, including South Korea, Italy and our very own UK."

  • About two minutes of footage were shown.
  • A lot of behind the scenes stuff.
  • Saw Avengers Tower. interior looks Amazing and is very SHIELD like but with a Tony Stark spin.
  • Shot of Captain America on a Motorbike.
  • Quinjets on display at Avengers Tower.
  • Saw Quicksilver in action running (but not a superspeed)
  • Saw some animatics of Hulk vs a Hulkbuster

Could this be the same 2-minute footage fans in Hall H[ydra] will be treated to at Comic-Con? Odds are in favor of this.

Avengers: Age of Ultron is currently filming in the U.K. and is set to release in theaters on May 1, 2015.
