THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2: Promo Images Reveal OsCorp Creations; SINISTER SIX Could Start Production in 2015

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 releases in theaters in the U.S. this Thursday night and while there is no end credits scene to tease what is next for Spidey, Sony has partnered up with Shazam to tease some villainy instead.

Using the Shazam smart phone app during the end credits song by Alicia Keys and Kendrick Lamar and you will be directed to a video teaser of what appears to be the villainy that Spider-Man will be facing in future films. As of right now, Sony has plans for The Amazing Spider-Man 3 and 4, a Sinister Six villain ensemble movie and a solo feature for Venom.

In the Sony/Shazam video teaser the following villains are teased: Doctor Octopus, Green Goblin, Rhino, Vulture, Kraven the Hunter and Mysterio. (See images below.) Some have speculated that this could be the reveal of the roster for the Sinister Six film, but TheWrap has learned this is not true.

"[We have] learned that the 'Sinister Six' have not been decided on, as [Drew] Goddard is still finalizing the script. One veteran talent representative told TheWrap that production could begin as early as January 2015."

TheWrap continues to say that one of the more difficult to understand images is Mysterio's mask with smoke coming from it. This would be a significant change to the Mysterio character since he is known to wear what is referred to by comic fans as a fishbowl. (See images below.)
