Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige Says DOCTOR STRANGE Needs to be a Mind Trip

While all the hype is surrounding the premiere of Marvel Studios' big release of Captain America: The Winter Soldier right now, some websites have taken the opportunity to not talk about Cap's sequel at the press junket. Instead, they are asking about future Marvel Studios projects.

The website BadAssDigest.com did just this and asked studio president Kevin Feige about the hopefully-soon-to-be-officially-announced Doctor Strange.

"Doctor Strange needs to be a Ditko/Kubrick/Miyazaki/The Matrix mind-trip," Feige says.

The studio head then went into a better comparison on how a Doctor Strange movie will be, regarding the magical powers surrounding the Sorcerer Supreme.

"Are you watching the Cosmos series? That’s [quantum physics] magic. It’s unbelievable. If somebody knew how to tap into that stuff, what’s the difference between that and magic?
"You don’t get into it in Harry Potter, but if a scientist went to Hogwarts he’d find out how some of that stuff is happening! We’re not going to spend a lot of time on that, but there will be some of that. And particularly for a character like Strange, who goes from a man of science to a man of faith and who traverses both worlds. And sometimes there won’t be an answer! Sometimes he’ll want an answer - 'How is this happening?!' - and nothing."

With the Marvel Cinematic Universe already exploring super soldiers, technology-based suits of armor, alien tech, mythological powers and more... moving to magic looks to be next on their movie docket. And by the sounds of it, Doctor Strange's magical powers will be a visual marvel for moviegoers. (Pun intended.)
