STAR WARS: EPISODE VII Reportedly Has a Lead Cast Frontrunner in Breaking Bad's Todd

He wasn't introduced in the highly popular AMC television show until late in the series's run but Jesse Plemons (who played Todd in the acclaimed TV show) is reportedly a frontrunner for a leading role in Star Wars: Episode VII.

This is per TheWrap, and unfortunately no further information was provided as to who the 25-year-old actor would play in writer/director J.J. Abrams' highly anticipated Star Wars film. However, TheWrap does report that Plemons' initial audition was so good that Abrams is bringing the actor back for another audition next week and to do it in-person.

Many speculations can be made as to who Plemons may be in Episode VII. But it's seriously doubtful many have seen the actual script outside of Abrams, fellow co-writer Lawrence Kasdan, Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy and perhaps Disney CEO Bob Iger himself.

Stay tuned as Star Wars: Episode VII is rumored to begin filming in the United Kingdom as early as spring 2014 in order to have plenty of time for production and for its December 18, 2015 release date.
