Exclusive! CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE WINTER SOLDIER Reshoots Scheduled in December and For January

While Marvel Studios' Thor: The Dark World is still in theaters raking in the box office cash—it just recently surpasses the $600 million worldwide mark—the studio is preparing its marketing campaign and release of next year's Captain America: The Winter Soldier.

According to one of The Daily SuperHero's insiders, Marvel has scheduled reshoots for the Captain America sequel. In one week from the publishing of this post, Cap 2 crews will gather up for two days of reshoots on December 16 and 17. Then, the crew will break for the holiday and get back together for approximately two weeks of reshoots in January. The source said when the dates in January are known that that information will be provided to The Daily SuperHero, so stay tuned.

Details of the reshoots were not provided but this is a standard practice for Marvel Studios' films—as well as for any studio—anymore. Most recently, Iron Man 3 went back for reshoots and Thor: The Dark World's reshoots added more Loki into the film's plot.

Captain America: The Winter Soldier releases in theaters on April 4, 2014.
