THOR: THE DARK WORLD Online Spot Teases Malekith's Dark Powers



Exactly one month from today Marvel Studios releases Thor: The Dark World in the United States. For the past few weeks, the marketing campaign for the Thor sequel has really turned into high gear.

Marvel's newest video tease for the film is a 30-second online spot that features some new footage of the main antagonist Malekith the Accursed. Watch it below and then take a look at the screenshots showing the Dark Elves leader's 'dark powers' and more.





Now that you've seen it, check out the first screenshot showing what looks to be Malekith's hand showing some form of 'dark energy' or perhaps a 'dark possession' power.




Next is a shot from the very end of the video showing Thor evading some form of 'dark energy' smoke or blasts directed toward him—presumably from Malekith or one of his Dark Elves minions.




Now check out a quick look at Loki, while still in Asgardian prison, talking to someone who looks to not be Thor (based on the shoulder armor shown). Who could this be? Frigga? Odin? One of the Warriors Three? Sif? Or maybe it is Thor... tough to tell...




Finally, Thor performs an Olympic diver-like leap off an Asgard balcony while grabbing his hammer in mid-air and takes off.




Thor: The Dark World releases in International IMAX 3D theaters on October 30 and in all U.S. theaters on November 8.
