Stan Lee Talks DOCTOR STRANGE Movie and (Again) Hints at a BLACK PANTHER Movie

Stan Lee. The face of Marvel. 'Nuff said.

The man, the myth, the legend behind so many Marvel superheroes and characters has seemingly confirmed both a Doctor Strange and Black Panther movies at Wizard World Comic Con in New York this past weekend. Yet, this is not the first time Stan the Man has done this.

Last November, Stan seemingly confirmed Doctor Strange while also saying Black Panther and the Inhumans were both in development.

"Oh they are all being made into movies! I can tell you there will definitely be a Doctor Strange movie! They are working on Ant-Man, which requires really small cameras! Black Panther is being developed, one of my favorites…the Inhumans…All the hero’s will eventually be made into movies."

This past weekend, per CBM via Flickering Myth, Stan seems to have once again confirmed a Doctor Strange movie (this is not really news anymore since at this point it's all but officially announced) and also a Black Panther movie.

"I'm not involved in those decisions anymore, but the people at Marvel are spending hours trying to think 'What will we do next?' and there's a damn good chance that they will think of just what you mentioned, 'cus it would be a great idea and little by little everything you want to see will come along, because [Marvel] are just like you... they're fans of the stories and they're trying to think 'What would the fans like to see next? What would we like to see next?'
So they're working on Ant-Man, they're working on Doctor Strange, they're working on Guardians of the Galaxy, they're working on god knows what. And did I say Black Panther also. Those are the ones I know about and there are others that I don't even know about, and shame on them for not telling me."

Since this isn't the first time Stan has talked publicly about a Black Panther movie, this is really no big surprise and it is obviously in development at this point to see if it can really become a solo movie. Also, with three untitled Marvel films with release dates in 2016 (two) and 2017 (one), along with Doctor Strange most likely being one of those three—The Daily SuperHero has been hearing it's the May 2016 release—you can bet if a Black Panther movie is close to being green lit it might be one of the remaining two open release date slots.
