2013 San Diego Comic-Con Rumor Mill UPDATED: Marvel, DC and Star Wars Movie Rumors Being Heard Right Now

The 2013 San Diego Comic-Con is quickly approaching on July 18-21. While manufacturers have been releasing their exclusive collectible lists the past week or two, the rumor mill is also churning regarding movies now.

The Daily SuperHero will actually be at SDCC this year and is still working on getting press access into Marvel's panel (fingers crossed!).
Even though it's more of a vacation than an on location reporting trip, The Daily SuperHero will have some coverage of the convention, straight from the showroom floor.

After reaching out to several source over this past week, some interesting rumors have been floating around and the following are what The Daily SuperHero has collected from its sources and insiders. But please remember, these are all rumors. Some may come true, others may not but it's fun to share what's being heard regardless.

Marvel Rumors

–Marvel Studios should be announcing Doctor Strange as their next Phase 3 movie and it may release after Ant-Man in May 2016.

–Marvel Studios could be considering "non-Phase movies" that are still a part of their MCU but not a part of the current movie story cannon that builds up to a climax with The Avengers.

–Marvel Studios might announce the actors who will play the new additions, Wanda and Pietro Maximoff, to The Avengers 2 movie.

–Marvel may show either the first teaser trailer for Captain America: The Winter Soldier or they will show an exclusive first look at a short scene from the sequel.

–Fox may announce that they've green lit a Deadpool solo movie.

–Sony might reveal the look of Electro and/or Rhino in The Amazing Spider-Man 2, either via concept art of finish CG.

UPDATE: Fox may also show the first clip footage for X-Men Days of Future Past and may introduce an expansion to their X-franchise movie universe with an X-Force movie.

DC Rumors

–DC is moving fast... and some fans say too fast now that a Man of Steel 2 is already green lit. Now, Warner Bros. could be planning to announce World's Finest as their post-Man of Steel 2 film which will also co-star Batman and lead into a Justice League movie. Batman's origin will not be explored as the character will be rebooted and his origin will be quickly glanced over, just for a refresher.

–The first non-Superman or Batman solo movie to be announced could be Aquaman or Wonder Woman.

Star Wars Rumors

–Lucasfilm might officially announce Mark Hamill, Harrison Ford and Carrie Fisher are all reprising their original roles, in Episode VII. Not a big surprise but there still hasn't been an official announcement and there's no better place to do this than at Comic-Con.

–Disney and Lucasfilm may announce the first Star Wars standalone movie which will release in summer 2016.

UPDATE: All Star Wars movie info is now said to be announced at Disney's D23 Expo in August.
