Silver Samurai in "The Wolverine" revealed at the 2013 Toy Fair?

Sunday, February 10, 2013

As the 2013 installment of Toy Fair rages on in New York City, the biggest toy manufacturers are revealing their newest toys for this year and beyond.

As many know, the toy industry revolves around Hollywood movies (thanks George Lucas for starting this trend) and sometimes new toys for upcoming movies can be a spoiler for the film too.

This might be the case for The Wolverine, starring Hugh Jackman. Set in Japan and several years after the events of X-Men: The Last Stand, Logan is said to be dealing with the outcome of X-Men: The Last Stand, his immortal-like healing abilities and loved ones lost. The Wolverine is also the set up movie for events in 2014's X-Men: Days of Future Past.

One of Logan's villains will be the mysterious Silver Samurai. Several photos have been taken of the Silver Samurai on set and during the shooting of the movie last fall, but nothing showed more than a back view of the costume.

Thanks to Toy Fair, fans may have a look at how Wolverine's enemy will look in the movie. Check out the images below. The left is the on set photo and the right is the toy that will be released this summer to coincide with the movie's release.

Sometimes the toy really embellishes the movie characters but as you can see, it looks like this could be the Silver Samurai's final movie look.
