When the basis of Iron Man 3's plot was revealed to have some parts of comic book writer Warren Ellis' Extremis story arc in it, everyone expected Tony Stark's armor would become one with his body and housed inside of his bone hollows—like it is in the comics. However, this would have been both tough to convince audiences on the big screen and tough to pull off even with computer effects.
Luckily, Stark will not keep his new armor inside of his own body.
Here comes the SPOILERS.
What has been reported is Stark will have more of a mental connection to his new armor and in the Iron Man 3 footage shown at the 2012 San Diego Comic-Con, Stark is shown thinking about putting his suit on and then pieces of his new suit come flying out of nowhere and landing on his body.
Some new information has now appeared over on the website Latino Review, who has been breaking insider news on Marvel Studios movies left and right including being the first to announce that Guardians of the Galaxy was in the works, has appeared.
“The Extremis-enhanced bad guys under direction of Ben Kingsley’s Mandarin villain are going to be too much for Tony to handle on his own, so he thinks ahead, thinks big and has a plan. Tony’s about to go out and fight some bad guys when he mentions the Mark XLVII to Pepper Potts. Pepper asks what happened to the other forty and Tony just smiles.
From the cockpit of Mark XLVII Tony is able to control multiple armors in battle. We over here at LR have been vaguely aware of an action scene where Tony was going to control multiple Iron Man suits (presumably they look similar to distract his enemies as to the location of kill-able Iron Man Prime), but the number 40 seems…awesome. 40 Iron Men.”
So is this yet another suit that Stark will wear in the new movie? Or is this the gold-dominate suit revealed at Comic-Con?
