Warner Bros. is still pushing to get a darker version of a Justice League movie made called JUSTICE LEAGUE DARK. This movie will feature more supernatural elements and feature John Constantine, Swamp Thing, Deadman, Zatanna and Etrigan the Demon.
Director Doug Liman (EDGE OF TOMORROW) has been attached to JUSTICE LEAGUE DARK, but Variety is reporting how scheduling issues have risen meaning Liman has left the project. The studio is now actively looking to replace Liman, who is the second director to leave the project after Guillermo del Toro left the movie due to being sidetracked by other projects.
JUSTICE LEAGUE DARK will be a part of the DC Extended Universe but it does not have a release date because is still in development with a script by Michael Gilio.
