Josh Brolin Knows 2 or 3 More THANOS Appearances Are Coming Soon

You first saw him in the post credits scene of The Avengers. Then you see him full on in Guardians of the Galaxy. His name is Thanos, the Mad Titan, the biggest villain looming over the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Not unlike the Emperor in the Star Wars Saga.

Actor Josh Brolin is the voice of and does motion capture work as Thanos (starting with Guardians of the Galaxy, actor Damion Poitier was Thanos in The Avengers). Brolin also knows more appearances are coming. Speaking with IGN.com, Brolin spoke about future appearances.

"I know what one appearance is going to be for sure. There's one or two that I don't know."

Then he briefly spoke of Thanos' love interest of the physical embodiment of Death, as it is in the Marvel comic book universe.

"His relationship with Death, who is actually the woman, I love that. You can take Sin City [in which Brolin plays a man obsessed with a dark-hearted woman] and pump it full of steroids, and then you have Thanos. I like that he's motivated by that — not just motivated by destruction or death or this or that. He's motivated by a very identifiable, human trait."

The one appearance is surely in The Avengers 3 but there will be at least one or two more appearances in Marvel films as well. Possibly in Thor 3 and/or Guardians of the Galaxy 2, since both are most fitting to continue setting up Thanos' eventual battle against Earth's Mightiest Heroes. As of the publishing of this post, Thanos reportedly won't be in Avengers: Age of Ultron but there is a lot of time between now and its release on May 1, 2015 where anything can change in the script and Thanos could make a quick appearance.
