Nick Fury, Falcon and Maria Hill at CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE WINTER SOLDIER Dec. Reshoots; Jan. Reshoots Update

Last week, The Daily SuperHero exclusively reported that Marvel Studios had scheduled reshoots for Captain America: The Winter Soldier on December 16 and 17. Then crews would break for the holiday season and get back together for two more weeks of reshoots in January.

According to the same insider who provided this information, reshoots in January will now only be "a few days" and not two weeks. No details about the smaller time frame for reshoots were provided but it can be assumed the reshoots the last two days went so well that directors Anthony and Joe Russo do not need a full two weeks in January.

During the past two days, the source said actor Anthony Mackie (Falcon) was present for reshoots on Monday. Then, on Tuesday, Nick Fury and Maria Hill were filming a few scenes. Generally speaking, it sounds like post-production on the Cap sequel is moving along quite well since it doesn't need as much time in January for reshoots.

Captain America: The Winter Soldier releases in theaters on April 4, 2014.
