BATMAN VS. SUPERMAN: Wonder Woman Actor Gal Gadot Says She's in Training For the Role

What was once a rumor that sounded fake has since been confirmed to be true. We're talking about Wonder Woman making an appearance in Batman vs. Superman.

Fast & Furious 6 female actor Gal Gadot has landed the coveted, and challenging, role of portraying Wonder Woman for the first time in a big budget film. And, to no surprise, she was shocked when she landed the role. In an interview, via Batman-News, Gadot spoke about the fan issue with her being too skinny for the role.

"It’s the physical preparations that I’m starting now. A very serious training regime... Kung fu, kickboxing, swords, jujitsu, Brazilian... 1,000-and-1 things... I’ll gain body mass."

Yes, she will gain body mass, some muscle sculpt and weight with all the training she will be required to do for the role. This is why studios provide some of the best trainers and nutritionists money can buy for actors in big budget movies. Remember when Christian Bale had to regain approximately 60-70 pounds of muscle and body mass right before Batman Begins? It's nothing new in Hollywood for actors to change weight for a role.

So there you have it, Gadot will gain body mass to fit the role of Wonder Woman. If she couldn't, then she wouldn't have been casted. Fans who were worried really shouldn't since it only takes some hardcore training to get into tip-top shape for any film role.

Batman vs. Superman begins filming in February 2014 and releases in theaters on July 17, 2015.
