It's finally September and the countdown has begun for the premiere of Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., which debuts on Tuesday September 24 at 8 p.m. Eastern time on ABC.

Some of the biggest mysteries surrounding the new super spy television show is obviously focused on Agent Phil Coulson's (actor Clark Gregg) resurrection after his apparent death in The Avengers and how the show will fit into the already established Marvel Cinematic Universe. Previously, co-creator Joss Whedon has said things like how the series will show the more human side of a world that has superheroes and Gods, while he has also hinted at the possibilities for some of the movie stars to crossover into the TV show, too.

Details are still very vague except for the fact Agent Coulson has put together his own rag-tag team of S.H.I.E.L.D. operatives in the new series. And in a new preview video, fans learn there will be alien encounters and talks about members of the new the team who will deal with these threats from this world and several others. Learn more about Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. in the new 6-minute preview video below.
