Marvel Studios rocked Comic-Con with their announcement of the title for the sequel to The Avengers. Writer/director Joss Whedon took the stage and revealed the title to be Avengers: Age of Ultron after a quick teaser video was shown in Hall H.

Whedon has since confirmed the villain will not have Hank Pym as its creator like in the comic book universe. Most assume this means Tony Stark will be the robot's creator but what about Ultron's own creation, Vision? The director touched on the topic in the new issue of Total Film magazine.

"We’re not going to see Pym and all the accoutrements. Ultron is more central to the Avengers as they are. But we will explore the idea of lineage, because he was created by us and we’ve got to own that..."

In other words, Whedon saying "accoutrements" means no Vision in Avengers: Age of Ultron. Fans and websites have speculated Vision could show up in the sequel especially after actor Vin Diesel has made hints of being in the sequel over on his Facebook page. But this now seems like it is unlikely.

Yet, this doesn't mean Vision won't appear in other future Marvel Studios movies.
