Marvel Villainy: Alec Baldwin Was Offered a Villain Role in One of This Year's Marvel Movie Productions

This year multiple Marvel movies have been in production. Marvel Studios recently wrapped Captain America: The Winter Soldier and just started production on Guardians of the Galaxy, Sony had The Amazing Spider-Man 2 and Fox is still filming X-Men Days of Future Past.

Out of those four films, actor Alec Baldwin told The Howard Stern Show he was asked to play a villain in one of those four movies.

"I have [been offered a comic book villain role], but I won’t mention which one," Baldwin said on the shock jock radio show. "I don’t want to undo somebody because they hired someone else to do it. But they asked me to play a villain in one of these Marvel comics movies.
"I wasn’t available, they wanted me to work a certain time. And because of my wife’s pregnancy, I had to turn down two films this summer that I wanted to do."

What role and movie is the big question and you have to think, due to Baldwin's business savvy character portrayal in 30 Rock, he might have been up for the role of Robert Redford's Alexander Pierce in the Captain America sequel or perhaps he might have been Chris Cooper's role of Norman Osborn in the Spidey sequel. Or maybe it was a villain role that was more outside of the box like for Benicio Del Toro's role of the Collector in Guardians. Regardless, he turned down the role and won't reveal what is was.
